Current technology has not been able to clone a creature from desiccated tissue, but the potential is there. R.E.S.T., LLC does not guarantee that technology will be developed to enable this process or that the specific sample contained in the Microsarcophagus will in fact be able to be cloned.
Instructions to the veterinarian are that: nuclear, cytoplasmic, and extra-cellular material of tissue are to be included. No aseptic precautions to exclude bacterial or viral contaminants are typically taken, however, veterinarians are instructed to use as much care as possible to not contaminate the sample.
